During our Santiago de Compostela tour our friendly guide will explain some of its legends and stories. Once there, we go for the orientation walk on the city of Santiago de Compostela so you can enjoy free time. in town or do the guided visit to the cathedral and cloisters.
 
On the way back to Porto we will stop at the city of Viana do Castelo. Located in the high Minho Portuguese province by the Atlantic Ocean.
 
It for sure is one of the most beautiful cities in the north of Portugal. It’s involvement in the Portuguese Discoveries age and, later on, cod fishing shows its traditional connection to the sea.
 
Facing the sea that was responsible for Viana’s history, a baroque church guards the image of Nossa Senhora da Agonia, the patron saint of fishermen.
 
Every year on 20th of August the image of our lady is carried on a procession to bless the sea in one of the most colorful festivals in Portugal.
 
If you can´t visit Viana during the festivities, we can always go to the costume museum where the beauty and richness of the costumes can be admired all year long.
